The Lindenhof is Mannheim's classic bourgeois residential district. Located directly south of the city center on the Rhine, it is characterized by Gründerzeit villas, mature residential streets and the Lindenhofplatz square. The Meerfeldstrasse and Lindenhofstrasse form a local shopping spine, complemented by the Stephanienufer with its views across to Ludwigshafen and the Rheinpark riverside green.
